Chemical Peels and VI Peels
Even with the best skin care products, aging and the environment can take their toll on your skin. We are affected by free radicals everywhere we go. Reverse the damage and reveal brighter, softer, more even toned skin with a chemical peel treatment. This peel can be used on every skin type!
The Vitality Institute provides a specifically formulated medical-grade peel to address a variety of skin concerns. Chemical peels remove the outer layer of skin to enhance the appearance and functionality of the skin. They create controlled damage to the skin, exfoliate dead skin cells, stimulate cell renewal, and regenerate dermal structures. VI Peels are one of the safest and most effective chemical peels on the market. Utilizing a specific formula, these peels remove previous damage caused by acne, UV rays, aging, and more. Then, it stimulates new tissue growth to reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles, correct pigmentation, reduce the look of large pores, tighten, and give your skin the boost it deserves.
Are Chemical Peels Painful?
The VI Peel is virtually painless while still being as aggressive as other, more painful, chemical peels. You may feel some tingling when the peel is first applied, but this will subside quickly. You will leave your appointment with the peel still on and wash it off around four hours later. Each peel comes with a post-care kit that includes a recovery cream and SPF. You can resume most of your regular activities following the peel. Patients must avoid strenuous exercise and extreme heat for the next few days.
What is the downtime?
In general, you start peeling around day 3 and can expect peeling to subside by day 6-7. Once the peeling process comes to an end, you are left with brighter, glowing skin. While most patients experience some type of peeling, those that do not peel can still expect to see results.
How often do I need treatment?
A skincare consult may help you discover if this treatment is right for you! Many people see optimal results with one treatment, while others will need a series of peels to achieve their desired complexion. Generally, most patients achieve desired results in 2-3 treatments. We recommend a series of VI peels 2-4 weeks apart, and then a maintenance peels every 3-6 months.
PRX-T33 Peel
PRX-T33 is a non-peeling peel. This is a perfect solution for those who do not want the downtime of Fibroblast skin tightening but want similar results. Its effectiveness in revitalizing and correcting skin imperfections while avoiding desquamation (loss of the superficial layer of the epidermis). Thanks to the action of hydrogen peroxide, the PRX-T33 peel does not involve downtime in the days following treatment. This peel is a great alternative to other chemical peels during summer months.
An immediate tightening is seen after treatment with the added benefit of long-term tightening and lifting as the collagen cells are stimulated, resulting in firm, taut, and healthy-looking skin. The results of this treatment can be felt immediately after your visit! Each subsequent treatment will build upon the last, further enhancing your rejuvenating results. On average, we recommend 3-5 treatments one week apart for the best skin outcome. A consult is still recommended to see what treatment plan best fits your needs. This includes the number of treatments as it can vary for each individual.
