Reverse Volume Loss with Sculptra Injections
As time goes by, your skin naturally loses some of its elasticity, radiance, and volume. However, you don’t have to accept what is natural as inevitable! Thanks to Sculptra injections, you can regain a more youthful appearance with this minimally invasive, non-surgical treatment.
What Is Sculptra?
This exciting treatment is an injectable cosmetic filler, collagen stimulator, and volumizer all in one. Our patients enjoy natural-looking results from a series of treatments.
During a series of Sculptra sessions, a special solution is injected below the skin using a tiny needle. This solution contains crystals made of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), an FDA-approved biocompatible substance that helps stimulate collagen formation and restore lost volume.
PLLA encourages fibroblasts in the skin to produce more collagenic fibers that reinforce the skin’s structure, strengthening it and rejuvenating it at the same time.

Sculptra FAQs
Every time our patients get wind of an exciting treatment that can help them look and feel their best, they always have questions about it — which we love! Here are a few of the most commonly asked questions about Sculptra:
How Long Does Sculptra Last?
One of the best characteristics of Sculptra is its ability to produce results that last for a long time — significantly longer than many other rejuvenating treatments. The final results can easily last for up to two years, while some people still enjoy their results five years after their treatments.
Is There Any Downtime Required After Treatment?
While there is no major downtime or recovery time required, patients may experience bruising, swelling and soreness for a day or so. Sculptra appointments can take about an hour.
In addition, since this is a non-surgical, minimally invasive procedure, there is no general anesthetic used. You can drive yourself to and from your appointments; no need to rely on anyone else for transportation!
Who Should Not Use Sculptra?
Although most healthy adults who are concerned about volume loss, wrinkles, or sagging skin would make excellent candidates for this treatment, some people should not get Sculptra injections:
- Those who are pregnant or breastfeeding
- People who are on certain medications
- People with a history of anaphylaxis or certain allergies
- Anyone with certain conditions like heart disease or uncontrolled diabetes
- People who are immunocompromised
- Those with autoimmune issues
- Anyone under the age of 18
- Those who are prone to keloid formation
In addition, Sculptra should not be given to anyone currently experiencing skin breakouts, redness, or rashes.
